A high school diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) is an important building block to pave the way for better employment and pursuing vocational/technical training certifications. We are here to help you get your HSE diploma to prepare you for a great job and career.

Earning an HSE Diploma

We have classes specifically for our Strong Fathers participants to help them get their HSE diploma. Classes are offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (8:30 a.m. to noon). These classes are highly individualized to meet your learning needs and can be supplemented with tutoring or online instruction in our computer lab.

Afternoon classes are also available for Strong Fathers alumni and for the women participating in the Strengthening Families program.

HSE Testing

When you are test-ready, HSE testing is offered once a month. Registration is required, and you must have a valid state ID. Depending on eligibility and funding, testing fees may be waived. The reading, science, and social studies portions of the exam are given on Wednesdays. The math and writing portions of the exam are given on Thursdays.

All graduates may attend a special recognition ceremony with their families and other grads. You’ll get to wear a cap and gown, receive your diploma, and enjoy a dinner to celebrate your success.
