For more than 25 years, Fathers and Families Center has been at the forefront of addressing some of Marion County’s most pressing issues: father absence, fragmented families, poverty, unemployment, and crime prevention. We have remained focused on addressing these critical challenges by providing education and support services for fathers and their families to help them develop work/life skills. We’re increasing father engagement, creating economic stability through education and employment, and helping fathers and their families navigate legal and health challenges so they can move out of poverty and onto a path of self-sufficiency.

When you partner with Fathers and Families Center, you’re part of the solution. Here are some ways you can help us achieve our mission:

Faces of Fatherhood Luncheon

Our flagship fundraising event is our annual Faces of Fatherhood Luncheon, held the Friday before Fathers’ Day. It’s an opportunity for over 300 business and community leaders to be introduced to the Heart of the Father Award nominees who are making extraordinary contributions to their families and communities. It’s also a chance to see the impact of Fathers and Families Center programs on the lives of many fathers and their families throughout our city.

Dr. Wallace McLaughlin Scholarship Fund (sponsorships vary)

Participants can enroll in a range of training certification programs throughout Marion County to help them get a great job at no cost to them. Programs include forklift training, CDL licensing, logistics, welding, and more. This is an opportunity to create the next pipeline of employees for your business sector.

Naming Partner (sponsorships vary): Workforce Development Lab and Classrooms

Fathers and Families Center has over 4,000 visitors per year. Many of them are current and past participants, employers, and other special guests who believe in the mission of Fathers and Families Center. At the center of our programs and services are our Strong Fathers and HSE classrooms and our Workforce Development Computer Lab.

Naming rights for each of these spaces is a unique way to feature your company’s name or a family member in such a way that all those who pass through the halls or individual spaces for years to come will be reminded of those who helped fathers and their families move towards self-sufficiency.
